Nerd Alert!!!!!!!

I am back to my bookworm self! I have barely been keeping up with my regular TV shows lately and have gotten back to reading more. Here are the books I read this week:

My first time reading James Patterson and I really liked it. This is book 1 of a 10 book series. Book 2 is being shipped via Amazon this week!

I posted about this book last week and it far exceeded my expectations. This is a definite must-read!!

Never read a Kristin Hannah before. This is a cute easy read. I can see myself reading more of these at the pool or beach this summer.

Sick and twisted, much? This one is for sure. If you have ever seen the move 'Awake', this book has a similar plot!

This one, err.... I am really not sure about. I started it yesterday and am about halfway through now. I am still waiting for it to take off and be exciting but I am not holding my breath! I figure I'll give it a few more chapters and see, but as of right now I am not too impressed. I was hoping it would be similar to Lovely Bones, but so far it's proving to be boooooooring!

Okay, so now that you probably think I am the world's biggest nerd, does anyone want to share a recent good read with me? I love hearing what other people's taste in books are!

  1. Fun!!! New follower from Frugal Friends Tuesday. =) Looking forward to browsing your blog later!

    p.s. I'm a huge book nerd too!!! I read that first book (and most of the series) by James Patterson. Loved it! Besides Patterson, I read Nicholas Spark, Jude Devereaux, and Julie Garwood (yes, break out the cheesy romance novels). I also spend a large majority of my time reading YA books since I teach high school. Happy reading!!!

  2. Ever since reading "Eat, Pray, Love", I've been hooked on the self-discovery/soul-searching genre. If you liked Elizabeth Gilbert's writing, I highly recommend "The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry" and "The Lost Girls". Although both will definitely leave you wishing you could drop everything and travel around the world!

  4. you're not a nerd at all! I'm counting down the days until I can read something other than a textbook for the summer! {I've been slowly working my way through The Center Cannot Hold by Elyn Saks...soooo good!}

  5. I love to read too :) Although with a newborn I don't get much reading done right now...dang it. I've read Kristin Hannah...good stuff.

    Another good author is Elin Hilderbrand. I've read almost all of her books...they all take place on an Island called Nantucket...they are really really good!
