Today, my doll baby turned 19 months old.... I can't believe how fast time has flown by since the day I first laid eyes on him Oh, how he has grown and changed and learned over the last few months. He is such a huge joy to me and I just can't get enough of him these days. It's probably because I know deep down that my days of being able to hold him are numbered. Soon he will be too big to rock to sleep and I will miss that so much. My favorite time of day is his bed time when I can sit with him in our rocking chair while reading his books and sniffing his hair. You mamas out there have to know what I am talking about. That sweaty, sweet smell of your baby's head :) Someday he'll be a big smelly teenager but I will always remember the smell and feel of his baby head. I am super emotional and nostalgic today because he is just growing so fast. When I came home from work, he just looked older! It kills me! He is sooooo close to being a little boy and no longer a baby and I just want to stop time.I know... Get a grip, Lauren! He's only 19 months old! But I can't help it . When he was born, I remember not being able to imagine him as a 6 month old and when that time came I said "No way will he ever be a toddler!"... Well here we are, passing that point and he'll be two in 5 short months! I am just going to try to soak up every last bit of his baby-ness because it's rapidly coming to an end :(

Also, A very dear friend of mine told me today that she is pregnant and I am SUPER excited for her and her husband :) I think this is what got me all sappy for the day because I remember that feeling of when I first found out and how overwhelming that was. It's like you buy a test, go into the bathroom (let's not forget how I was  STILL IN WALMART ), pee on a stick, and then your life is just forever changed! Knowing she had that feeling today made me super green with envy. We want another baby someday, but we aren't quite ready for that just yet. Time is good though. Any time we have to wait will be well spent with our little man and I am definitely not wishing that away! Teaching him, playing with him, spoiling him, laughing with him, cuddling... I could go on all day! Okay, enough of that... it's hair sniffing bed time story time :)


ps . please excuse my blog's ugliness right now... i messed it up bad today and can't figure out what I did or how to fix it!
