Yard Work!

Another productive day off for us! We only get to spend one thursday every other week together as a family and today was that day! Often times, Chad has court on "our thursdays" but today it was cancelled! We took advantage of this by doing some yard work together and grabbing some Moe's for lunch. Here are some shots from the day...

We have big plans for our yard so this is just a start... it looks like our grass is dead...Chad cut it a litttttttttle too short about two weeks ago with the new mower-oops...so we're not sure if we're going to have green grass anytime soon. We also chopped down the crappy dead tree that was in the front yard and we're going to replace it with a nice big palmtree. I am still trying to get a free minute to paint our other rocking chair so that is still in progress. We planted a bunch of pink and white vincas and put down 15 bags of new black mulch. We also chopped down the 2 willow trees in the backyard that were blocking the view of the lake. I hung our fall wreath on the door and bought some nice planters for the porch,too! We are really happy with the results so far but will be really excited when we have palmtrees, curbscapes, and a fence! Little by little this place is starting to look pretty nice and we are so happy. Tomorrow I am off and will be shopping for shoes for Erica's wedding and taking my bridesmaid's dress to be altered. Although I am excited that the dress is too big instead of too small, it is still a pain to have to get it tailored! Oh, I almost forgot... I took a few more pictures last weekend when we went to the beach on labor day...
