Today was a sad day for our family. My dad's father passed away in his sleep this morning after a long, hard battle with COPD. He and my grandmother had been married 59 years and we will all miss him very much. His memorial service is next friday, February 5th in NewBern, NC. It will be a sad day but I am looking forward to seeing family and remembering him with everyone together. I love this photo our photographer captured of him looking on as I walked down the aisle at my wedding in Aug. 2008.

Rest in Peace, Pop... We love you and will miss you very much. I am very glad Cole was able to meet you this past Friday and that I got to see you one last time.
