The weekends are too short

Like I said in the last post, Friday was homecoming for some of the other marines in Chad's Unit. Our friend Scott came home to meet his 6 day old daughter, Brynn. Here are the guys with their new babies :) SO cute. Cole looks totally weird and pale in this picture. Please excuse his paleness - He is usually pinker, I swear! Look how big he looks next to Miss Brynn!
Here is Mr. Smiley at breakfast this morning... He always sits in his bumbo chair when I eat and is usually really pleasant. Chad and I think we heard a giggle today but we weren't totally sure. I think he looks just like Chad in this picture! Don't you love Chad's farmer's tan? He's been working outside alot lately and it's gotten really bad. He's such a good daddy... I always catch him kissing the baby when he thinks no one is looking. I love watching them together.
I told Chad he should win husband of the year today. He cleaned the garage (out of nowhere- it was GREAT!) and decided to put together Cole's toy chest. My parents gave this to us when we moved last year and we were just planning on using it for storage. It never got put together and Chad decided that he was going to tackle that project today. He was out on the patio for almost 2 hours in the blazing hot sun trying to assemble it. He was cussing up a storm and kept saying he was going to "burn the damn thing." I got a few pics when he was in a better mood :) I think it turned out really well!!!!

Tomorrow is Monday... I have my 6 week post partum appointment. (did I mention I lost all 40 lbs?) And then Tuesday is Cole's 6 week shots and my hair appt where I will be giving up the blonde hair for the fall/ winter. It must be done! The rest of the week will go by quickly with the rest of the battalion homecomings and before we know it, it'll be the weekend again! Have a great week!!!

  2. Love the pics miss mommy! You have such a sweet little boy on your hands! Aren't boys the best? :) Great jog on the blog - I even went back and edited mine after seeing yours! Take care and give that cutie pie cole a kiss every minute - as if you need to be told! :)
