It's crazy how fast the weeks have gone by since Cole was born. 6 weeks ago today I went to an Italian Restaurant called Scalini's. They have this world famous eggplant parmesan that is supposedly known for inducing labor... We went and tried it out and of course, nothing happened!
This picture was taken after dinner that night...I went into labor 56 hours later.
I never imagined that 6 weeks later I would be videtaping this:
Cole has been rolling over for a few weeks now but this was the first I was able to really catch it. I had been taping this for a few minutes but I edited it out so you wouldn't all die of boredom. I know there are 2 grandmas in particular who are probably playing and replaying it right now. For the rest of you- thanks for watching. I am sure he is going to be be doing more fun stuff in the weeks to come.
As for this weekend... we have a few things going on... The rest of Chad's Battalion is coming home and we are planning on attending a few homecomings. My best friend out here, Erin, had a baby girl just 6 days ago. Her husband is returning from Iraq this evening to meet their gorgeous daughter, Brynn! I am a sucker for babies at homecoming...especially now that I have been through one with Cole. I am videotaping the event for her...I am crying happy tears already just thinking about it! :) We are so fortunate that everyone from his unit is coming home safe...God bless those Marines. I am so thankful for all of them.
Here's a photo from this morning... I caught him kinda smiling a few times!
The big gummy smiles are my favorite!
