The first month

The first month of a newborn’s life is kind of a blur.. at least to me it was for both of my kids. I worried that since Emerson was our second child, that I would be taking less pictures of her than I did with Cole… this was not true at all. I have over 1,000 photos from her first month! I have set up email accounts for both of my kids where I can send their monthly letters for them to read when they grow up. Those are more personal to me so I won’t be posting them here… sorry, folks!  I just wrote Em her first letter yesterday since it was her one month birthday! Speaking of the little lady, Emerson fits right in with our family- like she has always been here. I can’t imagine life without her in our family now. I’m sure everyone says things like that but it really is so true for us. We’re complete now that she’s here! Here are some photos from the last month in random order!

 

If you’re wondering where the mother of these children is in these pictures, she is hiding until she can find something else that fits besides a nursing cami. There are actually plenty of pictures of me from this month but they consist of me wearing mesh underwear and looking like a meth head! Taking  oxycontin for two weeks following a c-section makes you really really attractive!
