How is my little baby already two? I don’t know how it happened, but it was cause for a celebration. I can’t explain how much joy our little guy has brought into our lives over the last two years and I was so happy to be able to give him the big party that he deserves. Our theme this year was “under the sea” and I wanted our house to look like an underwater wonderland… This is what I came up with.  DSC_0446   My sister and I cut out all of those fish by hand and I think they turned out super cute!!!!

How adorable are these cupcakes? I found the idea on Pinterest and she was able to perfectly duplicate them! I am obsessed with these!!! Great job, Lisi!!

She also decorated our foyer…. Job well done, I think!

This was just one of the food tables, we had to feed an army of 50 guests so we had TONS of food! DSC_0450 DSC_0452

An octopus in the hummus? Yes please!!!

DSC_0175Chad was on balloon duty and in charge of decorating the outside. We had about 12 children all under the age of four so we bought a bunch of age- appropriate water slides and pools. We also set up a bounce house!  It hadn’t rained in 2 months, so why worry about rain, right?? Well. It rained. Stormed actually…Just as our guests were arriving! And my vision of kids splashing and playing in our newly fenced yard was ruined! Check out this super depressing inflatable graveyard :(  NOT what I had envisioned for a good time.

So our 50 guests arrived and we waited out the storm. It was our first party in our new house and it was so nice to have the house filled with all of the people that we love. Everyone ate, drank, and mingled for a over 2 hours!

Right after we sang happy birthday, my daddy walked in. He was supposed to be working this weekend and flew in for our little guy’s big day. He sat in the airport for 8 hours and waited for the storms to move past Myrtle Beach. We are so happy he was able to make it!

3 cases of beer and 125 chik fil a nuggets later, the rain was gone. After that, the party was officially everything I dreamed it would be.

It was so much fun to watch Cole playing with all of his friends. He is usually the shy one in the group but he was laughing and carrying on with the rest of the kids- it made my heart so happy and full to see it.

Enter: Cole’s Birthday present from Grandma and Pappy!!! Thanks so much! He’ll sit in the backseat until he is as tall as his 2.5 yr old friends that can reach the pedals.

Everything turned out perfectly and we couldn’t be more thankful that our family and friends came to celebrate our boy :) We are super thankful for Chad’s family that flew in just for the weekend – especially Uncle Jeh-ed (Jared) for taking that brutal red-eye from L.A. Also, Thanks to my mama, chad, elise, and Josh for helping in the set-up!
