Oh gosh. What a crazy busy week. With my work schedule changing, not once, but twice in a week…. a few other major changes going on, and some holiday guests, there was NO time for blogging this week. I was trying to live in the moment instead of snapping pictures and therefore there are not many from this past week. I picked up my camera on Sunday night, finally and was able to capture a few moments. Memorial day is important to me… not only because I was/am a marine’s wife, but because it means family time.
It means a house full of people…. laughing, hugging, my adorable grandma mixing in with my parent’s crazy, yet wonderful and genuine friends…
My daddy’s special seafood pasta…
It really is the best. And I love how he makes sure everyone enjoys it!
It’s a backyard football game. And me sneaking around the back of the house to catch the boy of my dreams mid-throw.
It’s a tiny spectator… just wanting to be one of the big boys.
He brought the wrong ball… but so what?
Because You can always count on your daddy to include you…
You can even be naughty independent and play by yourself…
But what matters most… is that we remember what it means to be Americans… proud. free. and thankful.
Days like today make me think of how lucky we are… how thankful I am, how blessed we are to have had once-in-a-lifetime moments like these…
But absolutely, most importantly……
I am eternally grateful to those who gave all, so that we could have these moments. Happy Memorial Day 2011.

Wow, those last few photos got me! So glad you all got to reunite! It's days like those that make the rest of them worth it!<3
