Wow, it's been a while since I have given a good update! Chad is now back to work fulltime and we're enjoying our last few months out here! We have been spending lots of time with our friends and are really going to miss them when we move. This past friday was chad's Battalion family day. We went to the lake and spent the day playing mini golf, hanging out with friends, and eating lots of good food. Family day this year was alot more fun for me because last time they had one, I was about 8 weeks pregnant and MISERABLE!!!! I was able to enjoy it alot more this time and we were able to show off our sweet boy. I can't believe that next week he'll be 3 months old!!!!! Here are some pictures from family day:
Me and my little buddy.
Chad and Cole
Chad and Kyle with Cole and little Miss Kayden... you may remember the picture of them when they first got back from Iraq--- the babies have grown so much!
Here are my sweet boys cuddling in bed on Saturday morning!!!
On Saturday, our plans were to go to the Miramar air show to see the Blue Angels but there was wayyyy too much traffic to deal with so the we went down to the Gaslamp District with the Dietrich's and did a little shopping!
Here's Cole getting ready to see his girlfriend! (by the way, he's wearing the first outfit I bought him once I found out he was going to be a boy. ) I can't believe he fits in it now!
Cole almost 12 weeks and Brynn 7 weeks
Me and Erin
Handsome daddies... Scott and Chad
This is something new!! Cole in the shopping cart for the first time. He is too big to comfortably carry in the sling so we propped him up in the cart and he did really well with it. We had to take a picture before we got in the car :)
More newness... Cole is now a cloth diaper baby! We started them last week and we loooove them so far. It was a bit of an investment upfront, but we will be saving money in the long run! Here he is modeling one of his blue diapers! we got them in all different colors!
Lets see... what else... umm... Oh yeah- Chad registers for his classes in a couple of weeks and we are officially job hunting for him around the Myrtle Beach area. Since we're not going to be there for a few more months we're perfecting his resume and sending it out to a few contacts that we already have. Hopefully closer to the time we move, he'll have something nailed down. I am not worried about it though- he has a good resume and is a veteran so he'll find something! As for me, I'm still trucking through this transcription program and SHOULD be done by the start of the new year. I have been spending alot of time getting our house ready to move out of so that keeps me busy while Chad is at work. That's it for now! We're headed to a big pumpkin patch in Irvine this weekend with Erin and Scott so check back for some pictures next weekend!
I love the new pictures! He's just so handsome :) Yay for Myrtle Beach-so you guys still won't be that far from us, even when we move (I think it'll be about the same distance) ...we definitely need to get the babies together for a playdate :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! His little hats are so trademark of Cole now. :) I love your post - looks like you guys are doing everything right. Have fun at the pumpkin patch!
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren, it's Amy from CCU. We had a creative writing class with Prof. Ockert together. Great pictures! When you come to Myrtle Beach, we'll have to get together & hang out!
